13 meses 💗

Hi friends,
This week was awesome because we had interviews with President and he
is the best!!! We also had an amazing fireside and a recent convert
from our ward, Fernando, spoke! He is the nicest and always makes us
barbecue. The best of all was taking a picture with President and
Sister Mortensen and Hermana Homer! It was our 13 month mark
yesterday. I love the mission! We found 7 new investigators this week,
which we were really excited about. ❤️

Love, Hermana Sheirbon

My hija left the nest 💔

So, first of all, I am sooo happy to still be here in Brazos. It's awesome here and this ward is the best. I will be even more
heartbroken when I have to say goodbye. But, I am so sad to not be
with Hermana Bettridge. She is life. She's truly my daughter. I love
her so much. The awesome thing is though, that she's with Hermana
Kiser! (My companion before her) So she's in good hands. We have been
doing a lot lately to bring people to church and receive the blessings
of the sacrament. We are helping two recent converts go to the temple
this month (Rosa, our recent convert), and Hermana Barron! They are
both really excited! We are still working with Rigo and Jose and
helping them progress. And Erick for sure should be baptized this
month! He seems super excited about it finally. He is an angel! I love
everyone here. My new companion's name is Hermana Fluckiger, and she's
from Wyoming. So Elder Phister left the district and she came in to
replace him.. I guess we always need someone from Wyoming here. So
there's still only technically one person from Utah in our district.
Woohoo. This week Hermana Barrera and I went on the best exchange
ever. She's from El Salvador and she got to meet Rigo (also from
there) and teach him, as well as Michelle (my best friend here always
in pictures who's in picture number and is going to serve a mission
in Temple Square in Salt Lake City next month, in English! She still
has to learn but we're trying to teach her. Anyways, everyone here was
so happy to meet Hermana Barrera cause she's the best. She's a foodie
like me and we both just laugh way too much. (Is there such a
thing?)... All in all it turned out to be a good week and I love you
all! Hope your week is amazing!

I'm staying ✌️️

So friends, Hermana Bettridge is leaving and I'm staying. So different
from what we expected. But it's all good cause I love it here and
she's off to new adventures! I'm so sad to lose my hija though! A
really cool miracle happened this week where we knocked on a man's
door at night and taught him the restoration. When we came back, he
had read the Book of Mormon. We taught the first half of the plan of
salvation, and set a baptismal date for this month, and then he came
to church!!!!!! His name is Rigo and he's an older gentleman from El
Salvador. He is the best. Anyways, I have to help Hermana Bettridge
pack so I have to go, but hopefully you understand these pictures!

⚜️One Year ⚜️

Hey everyone... sorry I haven't written in a while, but I still love
you. I promise. So, I've been away for more than a year now and it
feels so weird... I just can't tell you how much I have learned being
a representative of Christ. It's the best. On the day of my one-year
mark I walked into district meeting and Elder Self had put a box on
the table with my name and a fake bow and I was scared to open it...
but of course it was a pumpkin... hahaha I don't know why it just
makes sense. Also, the prophet spoke to the whole world this weekend
in General Conference, along with the apostles. I would invite you to
go to lds.org and listen to their messages. They will change your
life. When Jesus Christ established his church, he did it upon the
foundation of prophets and apostles (Ephesians 2:20)... He did this so
that ....."we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge
of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature
of the fulness of Christ:

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and
carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and
cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things,
which is the head, even Christ:"
Ephesians 4:13-15
So our opportunity is to find out where this church that He
established exists today... and I know that it does. Let me know if
you want to find out more!

Love you all lots, Hermana Sheirbon

Have you ever tried being a Mormon missionary at a football game in a
small town? People aren't that nice. That's okay though cause we did
find some amazing people. I was so happy to be able to go on an
exchange with Sister Pinster. She is an angel and my best friend. I'm
so excited to hang out with her at home. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
