❤️3 more weeks πŸ’”

I have been reflecting on how happy I am that I was motivated to serve a mission by church leaders and friends around me. There really is nothing like it; a new language, not choosing who you live with, staying with these same strangers 24/7, adapting to different cultures with every person you talk to, being rejected constantly, feeling The Spirit guide you more than ever, and growing to know The Savior more than I possibly could have otherwise at this point in my life.. I am truly so grateful. These strangers have become my family, and this language is mine too, and The Savior really is my best friend. This week has been filled with trials, but there have been great miracles as well. One of them happened on Sunday. At the beginning of the transfer, I was in H10 and met one of my former investigators there again named Sarah Reyes. She was surprisingly so excited to see me. I was surprised she remembered me. We got her info again. The hermanas went to visit her this week and apparently her son that Hermana Beus and I taught about a year ago got baptized not long ago in Conroe!!! We had no idea. It's so cool. It's a miracle that I found out, and never would have if I hadn't seen her in public randomly at the beginning of the transfer. I just feel like it reflects a lot of things in the gospel and in life... we often are unaware of the great effect we have on those around us. Have an amazing week.
Love always, Hermana Sheirbon

" I don't really wanna stay.. no... but I don't really wanna go..." #31days

I love my district so much

MIRACLES. Two days ago we were knocking doors. The Lord had told us we specifically needed to be there. We met a Hispanic man and he didn't seem too excited about us, but he gave us the phone number of his wife and set up an appointment for her for yesterday morning at 10am. We texted her; no reply. So we went anyways.. She saw us and had a giant smile. She was a lovely, young Hispanic lady with the prettiest smile ever. She let us in but had no idea about how we had texted her or anything... crazy. We taught her the restoration. Which you can learn about here -----> (https://www.mormon.org/beliefs/jesus-christs-church) ... and she couldn't stop crying. She literally was apologizing and had to get up and get more tissues. She said that she had the question her ENTIRE life about which church is true. So, we are super excited for her. Her kids loved it as well. It was a testimony to me that Heavenly Father hears our prayers. She explained to us that she had prayed for so long to know. What a miracle it is to be able to deliver this message to SO many people and help them find peace.

We also went to the temple this week as a district and it was awesome! And also... I celebrated 17 months with Starbucks of course!!

Another awesome thing that happened was that I got to go to a fireside by surprise and see some of my favorite missionaries and hear the testimonies of some really cool recent converts. This gospel is so awesome!

Love you all sooo much!! See you soon!

5 weeks left 😌

Hey peeps,
This week was a little hard... honestly was throwing up and had a
really hard week. But everything is gonna work out just fine. :) I'm
starting to get better. We have a new district and it's the awesome. I
am so happy. Also, miraculously, three of our investigators came to
church this week. It was such an answer to our prayers. Heavenly
Father was just helping us out because I was sick haha. You are all
the BEST.
Love you always, Hermana Sheirbon

El ultimo traslado πŸ˜‹

Hey everyone!!
Hermana Homer and I are officially the oldest Hermanas in the
mission...... definitely didn't think this would ever happen. Hermana
Wallace and I are staying together! So now I basically know the fate
of my entire mission. I had 4 areas, 8 wards, 10 companions, 3 English
zones and 1 Spanish zone... such a strange mission I've had and it's
been the BEST. This week was so cool because it was stake conference
and we heard some amazing messages from our stake president and Elder
Torres, a general authority. He shared this really cute story about
how his son kept praying for puppies and randomly, they continued to
show up to their home and he would let him keep them until they
literally had 5 puppies. So adorable. Heavenly Father really is so
aware of us. He loves us and if we are faithful and ask Him, he will
help us. I love you all a lot!!

7 WEEKS LEFT ❤️

Hey friends,
This week was awesome because VALENTINA CAME TO CHURCH. It was one of
the happiest moments of my whole mission. πŸ’• I love her so much. Also,
we had the coolest zone meeting in the chapel and I got to see my
love, Hermana Beus...
That basically summarizes it all. I just wanna testify that as
followers of Jesus Christ, we can be happy in any circumstance because
He knows us and loves us. We can always find peace in his gospel. As
we open the Book of Mormon, it's like a sparkly, magical feeling that
can pick us up on any dark day. Love you all,

Hermana Sheirbon

16 months πŸ™€ (59 days left)

Time is just flying by! Pretty soon I'm gonna be back in the great PNW
and I'm kind of happy about it.... kind of happy is an
understatement.. but I LOVE the mission. I'm so torn. I'm really
excited to see all of you again though. ❤️ These past few weeks have
been awesome
ENZO GOT BAPTIZED. He is the sweetest guy ever and is so funny and
awesome. He called us this week before his baptism to tell us he'd
read all the way to Alma 11... so LEGIT. He has been playing soccer
constantly with the YSA here and he loves all the members. It reminds
me of how most of you were my friends when I was joining he church and
helped me so much. *Tear* haha anyways, so his baptism was awesome. We
were so shocked the next day in church when he came in a white shirt
and tie! He said he would never wear that! He's so funny. Also. This
week I got to see my favorite convert ever, Crystal. Hermana Beus and
I taught her in H10. She ran up to me and said "Hermana Sheirbon! Best
missionary ever!!" and wouldn't stop hugging me. 😚 Kids are always
the sweetest. I'm so glad I could teach so many in the mission.
I got to go on a mini mission with Giselle, who is the best! She is
such a strong convert. Hermana Lowry knocked her door originally! So
she is pretty cool! She is out with us normally every other day. She's
basically a missionary already.
I ALSO got to see Valentina... πŸ’—. She is from Uruguay and Hermana
Lowry and I knew her really well back in H10. We met at the same old
park we used to meet at and we were able to read the Book of Mormon
with her. Please be praying for her. She is so precious to me, and her
family isn't being that great right now.
Of course, I also got to go on a little exchange with Hermana Kiser. I
LOVE HER SO MUCH. We laughed about all our good days in Brazos. We
also got green smoothies. Btw, I am going back on my green smoothie
diet when I come home... 24/7 Hispanic food and coke is doing things
to me.... bad things. Even though I love it.
I can't remember remember if I already told you, but our recent
convert came over to Suamy's house the other day with us and Giselle,
and another recent convert, and he made us baleadas from Honduras. And
now our convert Enzo has a little bromance with Suamy since they're
both catrachos from Honduras. Cool, right?

Missions are so fun.

PS- FORGOT TO MENTION SOMETHING... the Church changed p-day schedule
so now we study less and have 2 hours more to party. 😌

LOVE you all so much!!

Milagroz πŸ‡πŸ‡³

Soooo our investigator Enzo who's getting baptized on January 28th
didn't have any friends when I got here so we decided to change that.
Literally this week he has gone to institute, he went and played
fΓΊtbol with the YSA ward, we have had people in every lesson and they
are calling him and texting him like crazy. He is friends with
literally everyone now. They are hanging out with him on their own. He
even came to the YSA Ward yesterday instead of the family Ward. He is
SO EXCITED for his baptism. It reminds me of how my friends helped me
get baptized. Thanks, peeps. President Mortensen wrote me yesterday
about this YSA Branch and said "The Lord would have you serve here.
This is where your faith grew." I definitely feel the truth of what he
said. It's been so cool serving with the same age of people that I was
when I was baptized. So many tender mercies. Tonight we are having a
noche de hogar with Enzo at our friend Suamy's house and making
Baleadas with a bunch of people cause they're both from Honduras. It's
gonna be so cool. This week was just a bunch of miracles because
another couple we found came to church on Sunday and they're sooo
sweet. It was the best feeling ever having them there. Anyways, the
Lord is definitely doing his work. Something else I discovered this
week: Hermana Black is my favorite. She is seriously sooo cool and we
had one of my favorite exchanges ever that involved Taco Bell and
hiding from the elders.

I love you all so much.
Have the best week ever!

CANYON LAKES & JOVENES ADULTOS SULTEROS

NEW ADDRESS!

15125 West Rd
Apt. #733
Houston, TX 77095

Guess what! I am now serving in the only Spanish YSA in the United
States. ✔️ How does it feel? The best. A lot of my old friends from
H10, etc, are there. It makes me so happy. Also, I'm serving in a home
Ward called Canyon Lakes. It's cool cause there are people there from
seriously every country. Anyways, this is probably my last area! 11
weeks left, friends!! My companion is Hermana Wallace and she's from
San Diego, California. She is really sweet!

Love you always, Hermana Sheirbon

PS- you're probably getting sick of seeing me in this dress, but I
love it too much.

Toni Jo/ Hermana Lowry/
My favorite person on earth came back

So, I'm pretty sure Heavenly Father plans out people's companions
because I literally needed to meet Hermana Lowry (who's now Toni).
Haha 😻 People in the mission basically believe she's my trainer
because we are the SAME. She taught me everything. She helped me SO
MUCH with my Spanish, my testimony, just everything. When I became her
companion, I began to love the mission more than anything. She taught
me that it really is about loving people. It's not about anything but
love, and helping others be happy. Her mom also passed away, and I
know our moms and friends now. πŸ’— I just picture them together,
laughing at us down here. But anyways, she came back to the mission to
visit last P-day and it's actually the anniversary of us becoming
companions last year.. so weird! Best day ever. πŸ‘―
