Hola mis queridos amigos y amigas,
Como están?? I HAVEN'T TALKED TO ANY OF YOU SINCE LAST YEAR! :) I am so sorry I couldn't write last week, but our library we usually go to was closed! So here I am! Life is so awesome as a missionary, can I just say? I'm starting to appreciate more and more, the great calling that I have. Like Ammon, I really am a wanderer in a strange land. Sometimes I forget I'm in Texas because I just feel like I'm at home (literally, my church building is the exact same one as at home), and sometimes I forget I'm in the U.S. because I'm only speaking Spanish, but all I know is that I've been called to this strange land, and God is always mindful of me, here. This month, Carmen and Josue are getting married and baptized! We went with them to the court to get their marriage license. I was the translator...definitely a first for me! The Lord can use anyone to get his work done. He can even accomplish everything without us, but he allows us to join Him in this awesome work of helping people and families be together forever. I am so grateful for this.
I am so filled with gratitude for all of you at home. You have taught me more than you realize and I feel the blessings of your examples every single day. Thank you for telling me about all the awesome things you're doing in this world. You don't know how much good you're doing! Never stop laughing or smiling! That is the key! We are here to be filled with JOY. That's what your Father in Heaven wants for you. Someone told me something that really touched my heart this week: on judgement day, we usually picture ourselves before Christ, begging for forgiveness, but this is not so. It will be Him, begging us to let go of the things that are keeping us from being happy and close to Him. His plan is a great plan of salvation/HAPPINESS.

"....therefore, in his mercy he doth visit us by his angels, that the plan of salvation might be made known unto us as well as unto future generations." -Alma 24:14
I am SO happy that I get to visit people and tell them about this awesome plan. It is at the core of my testimony of this work. God loves you, and He wants you to choose happiness, choose Him. I love you all more than I can say. I hope you had a great time celebrating the Savior's birth this Christmas. Feliz año nuevo!!! Les amo mucho para siempre, Hermana Sheirbon
Me on Christmas Day, wondering why it was 100 degrees outside aka the hottest Christmas in Texas history...
