I love to be a Missionary 🍦🌻💗

My favorite part of this week was teaching my favorite family here, the Mundy family. We shared with them about the restoration of the gospel, and the Book of Mormon, and they were SO excited to start reading. We were in shock! Victoria, the mom, was already starting to read from Alma before we even left. She said "For some reason I just think Alma sounds like a cool dude" and was about to start reading. It touched my heart so much, the way the Spirit had given them the desire to read and learn about Christ. That's how I want to wake up every single day, so excited to read the Book of Mormon and so happy to be a part of this gospel. Have an amazing WEEK!!!!

" 11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.

12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities."
-Alma 7:11-12

Love you all!!!

Be ye therefore perfect 🍀

Hi friends, I hope you've all had a great week! This week has been
pretty exciting. I've been so humbled by the people and miracles
happening around me. We went to the temple this week and I was so
grateful for the opportunity I had to just step away from the world
and feel the peace of being in the Lord's house. I've been thinking
about testimonies this week, and I've thought about what it takes to
be a follower of Jesus Christ. Someone once told me that even Satan
has a testimony of Christ, and I know it's true! Satan knows exactly
who Christ is. So then, what is it that we need to do in order to
follow Christ, if it's more than just believing? Christ tells us:
"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."
Matthew 5:48

Even though often times, we think of "as we are" as being sufficient
(and he does love us "as we are")... He expects us to be MORE! He
knows that as we continue to change and come closer to Him, we will be
happier. He wants us to take steps to become more like him. Sometimes
that means giving up old habits, doing more to serve others, coming to
church, or talking to our Father in Heaven more.. And as we continue
to ACT, we will feel the happiness that comes from this messy,
beautiful process called repentance! Just like this tiny plant, our
faith in Christ starts like this, but as we change and become true
followers of Christ, we can grow and become stronger. This is why
we're here, after all! He loves you. ❤️ I love you! Have the best week
ever! 🌻 Love, Hermana Sheirbon

Spring Forward

We had a conference last week with general relief society members and
all the sister missionaries went! We matched, of course!

This is us with Elder Cabrera, from Puerto Rico. He is our amigo fiel.

crazies. Our last moment together as companions. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

TRANSFERS! My new GIANT district & new companion, Hermana Beus!
Knocking doors

I made her match with me! Also, she is super cool. She's from Mesa, Arizona and she loves Jack's Mannequin, like me! (My favorite band!).. She has been out for 7 months and this month will be my 6-month mark, so it's very rare that two baby missionaries are companions like us, but here we are! And the Lord is blessing us a lot! We began teaching a new family this week, found 9 new investigators, and "coincidentally" knocked into three less/inactive members! We also had 3 people who need to be baptized just fall out of the sky! Literally. One guy came up to us (his first time at church ever, with his mom who is visiting from Mexico), and say that he wants to be taught and he wants to hear the discussions. Another lady in the English ward we cover (yes, I am STILL an English missionary as well as Spanish, in this area) came to church for the first time in years and she has two Un-baptized sons that we are gonna try and work with. Sooo many miracles! The Lord knows we're both babies in the mission, and with Spanish, so he's helping us a lot. It's so humbling to see his hand in all things. I am just so amazed and filled with gratitude.
I love you all. Never believe that anything is coincidental. Nothing is. Expect miracles!

Love you all, Hermana Sheirbon
