Be ye therefore perfect 🍀

Hi friends, I hope you've all had a great week! This week has been
pretty exciting. I've been so humbled by the people and miracles
happening around me. We went to the temple this week and I was so
grateful for the opportunity I had to just step away from the world
and feel the peace of being in the Lord's house. I've been thinking
about testimonies this week, and I've thought about what it takes to
be a follower of Jesus Christ. Someone once told me that even Satan
has a testimony of Christ, and I know it's true! Satan knows exactly
who Christ is. So then, what is it that we need to do in order to
follow Christ, if it's more than just believing? Christ tells us:
"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."
Matthew 5:48

Even though often times, we think of "as we are" as being sufficient
(and he does love us "as we are")... He expects us to be MORE! He
knows that as we continue to change and come closer to Him, we will be
happier. He wants us to take steps to become more like him. Sometimes
that means giving up old habits, doing more to serve others, coming to
church, or talking to our Father in Heaven more.. And as we continue
to ACT, we will feel the happiness that comes from this messy,
beautiful process called repentance! Just like this tiny plant, our
faith in Christ starts like this, but as we change and become true
followers of Christ, we can grow and become stronger. This is why
we're here, after all! He loves you. ❤️ I love you! Have the best week
