Las aventuras ❤️

Hi amigos,

So this email makes it seem like we live right next door to the temple
but we really don't haha, I promise. We live about two hours away in
my area. But this week all the missionaries had the opportunity to
bring their own family ancestor names to bring to the temple and do
work for them here. It was awesome. It was a really special day. And
we also got the chance to go back later in the week in order to bring
our recent convert Alicia to the temple!! It was so amazing because
she loved it! We are pretty sure it was the best day of her life. For
all of you who don't know, the missionary with blonde curly hair is my
friend from home, Sister Selee, and this is our second time serving
together. She is an angel! I just love my sweet companion, Hermana
Bettridge, because she is the best! We just have way too much fun
together. This week we are praying for miracles this week so we can
find more investigators because our cool people have been slowly
fading away.. But Kevin came to church for his third time this week..
Whoohoo! Please keep praying for him and his brother Erick. They are
so important and just have a difficult life situation. I love you all
a lot!! Have an amazing week!
Love, Hermana Sheirbon

🌧💦💦💦🏊🏊

Dear friends and loved ones,

Sorry I haven't written in a while! I have had really busy p-days and
I have no other excuses, but everything is going okay!! I went to the
dentist this week cause I had level 10 pain in my tooth but everything
is all good now! That was an interesting and hard experience but Hna
Bettridge got more time to teach since I couldn't talk hahaha..but
other than that, everything is going fine! Hermana Bettridge's Spanish
is coming along soooo well!!! I am so proud of her! Our investigators
Kevin and Erick need a lot of prayers right now so they can progress..
Please pray for them! Also, I LOVE all the rain we've been getting
here but sadly Hispanics here feel scared to go out in rain so if you
could pray for no rain on Sundays, that would be great haha. I hope
all is well with you!! Love and miss you all lots. I wanted to share
some scriptures with you about faith and repentance.. I know the word
repentance sounds so scary, but don't worry, it isn't. It's just
EVERYTHING God asks us to do:
"Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and
shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of
heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be
called great in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:19

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is
perfect." Matthew 5:48

"And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to
Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and
be thou perfect." Genesis 17:1

"And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good
but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the
commandments" Matthew 19:17

"If ye love me, keep my commandments" John 14:15

"If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have
kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you,
and that your joy might be full." John 15:10-11

There are a hundred more examples I could share, but I invite you to
think about why it is that he invites us so often to repent. He loves
us. This is the whole purpose why we're here. He does not expect us to
live a cheap Christianity where we say vocally we believe in Him and
we're saved. That is the lie Satan loves to tempt us with. Christ
pulls us higher. Christ helps us literally overcome our sins and turn
away from them. In this lifetime we won't be perfect, but he
constantly invites us to strive. I promise as you build your faith in
him, your desire to change and repent will increase dramatically. He
loves you and he promises you the blessings of freedom and peace as
you follow him.

"Therefore may God grant unto you, my brethren, that ye may begin to
exercise your faith unto repentance, that ye begin to call upon his
holy name, that he would have mercy upon you"
Alma 34:17

Email me if you want to find out what it is that Christ asks of you
how to follow his commandments. :)

Con amor, Hermana Sheirbon

✌️agosto

Well, what can I say? Lots of things fell through this week, but we
have seen MIRACLES. For instance, yesterday our investigator Erick
didn't come to church, and we were really really sad, so anyways, we
continued about our day and on our way to a different appointment,
nowhere near Erick's house, we found him in a trailer park!! I just
stopped the car and rolled down the window to yell his name and ask
him what he was doing. He said his was visiting his girlfriend, so we
asked if we could meet her too... Long story short, we met the novia
and asked if she wanted to be taught too, and she said she needed
permission from her mom, so we asked to meet the mom, and now we are
coming back to teach their family too! Tiernas misericordias! Also, we
met a lady in a laundromat this week who is from Mexico and apparently
one of her friends just joined the church and she knows all about it,
so she explained that she wanted to learn more and talked about how
she had just met elders a few months ago, but they'd never gone to
teach her, and so we are gonna start teaching her too! Pretty cute
little story. It's amazing how the Lord prepares people and guides us
to them... I am always amazed! Also, I got to meet a return
missionary here who just came back from the Washington Vancouver
Mission!! (WOOOHOOO)
Here is the return missionary, used to be Sister Forsyth.. Idk if any of you know her!
(Shout out to Hermana Kiser's mom for sending me this dress haha)
